It’s been a great Christmas break and I’m finding it a little bit difficult getting back into being woken up by my alarm clock and not pulling on my cosy sweater and wide trousers to lounge on the sofa. Or my gorgeous new flapper dress and head out to an amazing venue for delicious food, cocktails and a bit of a good time. But all good things come to an end or we wouldn’t even know how good they are. Lucky for me, I work in an office where I’m not tied down by a strict dress code, so this first week back is all about being comfortable, in comes casual wear.
I love casual elegance. Upgrading my jeans with a blazer and heels – sure. Casual wear always seems to work for me (as do flats, running around London all the time).
I recently purchased these distressed jeans from Gap and they are insanely comfortable. So soft I could wear them all the time and they were on sale for almost 50% off. Amazing win. Oh and if you like a pattern, you’ll love these – they are my absolute favourite, not only are they comfortable, they also look great.
Jumper comes from Banana Republic, a brand I’ve loved for years despite the crazy sizes. Yes, I’m a size 0 when I shop there, although I’m perfectly aware I’m nowhere near skinny size 0 (despite my recent attempts at going to the gym). The jumper is unfortunately sold out, thanks to all the pre-Christmas, Boxing Day and post Boxing Day sales, but you can find a similar one here and here and here.
